The Alella wine growing area or “D.O.” is located between 3 counties: Maresme, Vallès Oriental and Barcelonès, and vines have been sinking their roots into this region for more than two thousand years. This region is one of the main destinations for wine tourism in the province of Barcelona and is characterised by its Mediterranean climate on sandy, damp soil, good conditions for growing grapes.

The DO Alella is the oldest in Catalonia and it typically produces dry and sweet white wines.
